Enrollment Season is Coming!
There are a couple of important individual medical enrollment periods coming and Donze & Associates is here to help. But why should you care? Here’s why:
Individual Medical Enrollment
November 1st through December 15th
Since coverage is now guaranteed issue regardless of medical history, the trade-off is that enrollment is limited to an annual open enrollment period. This is when you can:
Enroll in a plan if you are not covered
Change your plan to a different one
Add things like dental/vision
The price you pay can change each year and different carriers can have different rate changes, so it’s always good to take this time to compare and make sure you are getting the best deal. If you are enrolled through the WA Healthplan Finder you might want to make sure you’re not missing any tax credits you may be entitled to, especially if your income has gone down. These credits can be applied directly to reduce your premium.
Medicare Annual Election Period
October 15th through December 7th
This is the period when you can enroll, disenroll or change plans such as your Medicare Advantage or Supplemental plans. Medicare has many different enrollment periods so we recommend contacting us if you are unsure about them.
